Assessment Task:
Group Presentation and Individual self-reflective summary
ASSESSMENT DESCRIPTION:
Students are required to work on a business case based on a real-life scenario in relation to International Management issues and deliver a 10-minute in-class group presentation. The topic areas covered in the presentation are expected to focus on concepts and theoretical frameworks discussed in class. The softcopy of the presentation slides, presentation summary (not more than 1000 words) and other supporting materials (if any) are to be uploaded in the Moodle before the scheduled presentation date.
The assignment will include the following activities:
- Select a business case from your prescribed text book and have it approved by the lecturer before week 6
- Book an in-class presentation time with the lecturer (may be pre-announced)
- Analyse the case in light of the concepts and theoretical frameworks discussed in the class
- Prepare the presentation slides (in group) and the self-reflective summary (individual)
- Rehearse the presentation in front of your friends and families or other group members
- Upload the presentation, self-reflective summary and supporting materials (if any) on and before the presentation date
- Make the presentation in the class.
ASSESSMENT SUBMISSION:
Presentations will be organised on a pre-arranged time in week 10 and 11. Early birds will be marked more leniently than the students coming late to book a presentation. You will not receive any marks if you are absent in your scheduled presentation time.
Students not able to participate in the presentation may apply for a deferred assessment. Deferred assessments will only be available to students who have a severe medical condition or unanticipated extenuating circumstances. Applications for deferred assessments must be accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation.
Presentation slides, self-reflective summary, and supporting materials (if any) must be submitted online in Moodle. All materials MUST be submitted electronically in Microsoft Office format. Other formats may not be readable by markers. Please be aware that any assessments submitted in other formats will be considered LATE and will lose marks until it is presented in Microsoft Office format.
No paper based or hardcopy submission will be accepted.
