Human Resource Management – Providing Feedback
Providing feedback
There are two parts related to this process: firstly, deciding on what basis the feedback should be based on and, secondly, how it should be carried out.

Feedback can be based on assessment made by the employee’s manager, augmented by a degree of self assessment, and then given in a one-to-one meeting, commonly called the appraisal interview or discussion. In recent years, however, 360 degree appraisal has become increasingly popular where feedback is produced by a number of sources, including colleagues, subordinates, seniors, internal and external customers and then fed back to the employee. This normally takes place through a third party.
