Assessment Details:
Title: Individual Report on Strategic Analysis and Supply Chains. Type: Individual Assignmentwork Style: 2500 Words Report, excluding references and appendices. Rationale: Part A assesses learning outcome 1. Part B assesses learning outcomes 2 & 3. Description Part A (34%): An executive appraisal of information systems on the impact of supply chain performance. Using current examples from industry, as a team, you required by the board of directors to evaluate and critique information systems demonstrating on impact of business performance. Your team members must demonstrate individual roles and contribution. 1. Introduction to the organisation/s with a justification why the organisation was selected. 2. Identification of the information system implemented by the organisation/s, stating the advantages and drawbacks of the system benchmarking against a best in class or competitors. 3. Propose an alternative system, specifying the benefits and improvement in business performance. Using either a process map or a flowchart. This will be submitted using MS PowerPoint Uploaded by one group member to Moodle. You must identify individual contribution within the slides. Description Part B (66%): Individually, you will investigate the current strategy of an organisation using a case study method and critically assess the existing strategy and effects of information management on the supply chain. Once the analysis is complete, you should be able to re-design an appropriate strategy for the success of the organisation. You will analyse a chosen case study, its current status on a strategic level, and evaluate their strategy, providing competitive analysis and market positioning of the organisation in comparison to industry and its norms. In addition, you will provide an alternative strategy for execution within the organisation, taking into account resourcing, cost, quality, time and the wider external environment, in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. You are advised to include the following areas in your 2500 word report: Strategic Planning/Development Supply chain Management IT/IS Supply Chain visibility Implementation and Optimisation of a Strategy Including academic referencing using Harvard System |
