Task 1.3: Develop a business plan
Go to the Australian Government website, www.business.gov.au.
From the top menu, click on ‘Plan & Start’,then on the right side of the webpage under ‘In this section’, select‘Templates and tools’, then ‘Business plan template and guide’. Here you will find a link to a ‘Business plan template’ and ‘Business plan guide’. Open and save a copy of the business plan template locally.

Identification of financial (funding for your business) human (labour cost) and physical resourcesrequired to implement the plan.
Calculation of start-up / fit out costs.
Consultation processes to be used during implementation and monitoring of the plan.
Your assessor will use the ‘Business plan template’ and ‘Business plan guide’ on the Australian Government website to help assess your plan.

Task 2.2: Implement and monitor your plan
During the implementation process, regularly review performance against your objectives.
Depending on the objectives outlined in your business plan, performance could be monitored against any of the following examples.

Prepare a brief report to a key stakeholder which summarises your analysis of performance and compares results against planned objectives.
