After completing your risk assessment in task 1a you would have listed suitable control measures to reduce the risks. List the control measures in your report and state the reasons why they are suitable.

For using the band saw, pillar drill and bench grinder we are given adequet training in how to use the machinery and how to maintain them whitch will ensure the equipment remains effective and runs safely and no accidents are caused by any misuse.

In industry there are controll methods to reduce risks, these are

 Administrative controlles: A good example of this would be providing adequet training for their employees for the tasks that they are doing such as training for safly using machinery such a fork truck. By showing employees the safe correct method of the work they do it will help prevent accidents caused by misuse.

When using potentionaly harmfull substances that would come under COSHH we are given all the neccecary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) we need to protect

ourselves from any hazardous chemicals or substances as well as being sufficantly trained in using such substances. The PPE we are given must be in addequet supply, fit for use for the task at hand as well as regulary checked for any wear or damage and in some cases cleaned (such as welding overals being washed or safety glasses wiped clean of dirt) If we don’t use or properly maintain the PPE provided when using
hazadouse chemicals then constant exposure can lead to dermititus, burns, poisoning if ingested and even blindness if in contact with eyes.
