Introduction
This report is aim to develop a change management strategy. Identify strategic change requirements and develop a change management plan including cost benefit analysis, stakeholder management plan, communication plan and training plan.
Identify Change goals
Goal 1
Implement PDA/GPS usage (productivity function) on truck fleet in the first quarter of the 2016 financial year.
Goal 2
Implement one person/truck policy using automatic lift gates in the first quarter of the 2016 financial year.
Impact of change goal
People
- Manager will have to manage more truck drivers than before due to expanding team.
- Drivers will need to work with one person per truck with the new automatic lift gates. Drivers have historically reacted negatively to change. They may have resistance in cutting two drivers to one driver per truck.
Processes
- Drivers will have to record their time using PDA instead of paper, which will become more efficient.
- Drivers will need to work with one person per truck with the new automatic lift gates, which will reduced possibility of lifting injury.
Technology
- New technology such as PDA/GPS, automatic lift gates will be using by the company, which may lead to the cost go up higher.
- Require training to the people when introducing new technology.
Company
- Through the new change of goal, Fast Track Couriers is expecting to expand business in the metropolitan area so that small to medium package deliveries market share increase by 7.5%
Structure
- Company structure may need to expand such as adding another trucking manager because of the expanding trucking team.
